Our flock of heritage hen geese

"We cherish Lithuanian heritage on our farm - rare hen geese live and breed here."

" At Upės Pievos Ūkis (River Meadow Farm) we not only cherish old traditions by participating in the chicken-goose breeding program, but also strive to bring this historical taste back to the modern gourmet table. Our hen geese flock grows in freedom, enjoying the natural meadows of the river valley, which is why their meat is characterized by exceptional quality, rich flavor and true, Lithuanian character. We believe that the best way to preserve this rare breed is to recognize its culinary value, which is why we offer our guests authentic, slow- food dishes. This is our tribute to Lithuanian heritage - from careful breeding to a unique taste experience on your plate."

Our heritage: Lithuanian local coarse-wool sheep

" At Upės Pievos Ūkis (River Meadow Farm) we are proud to cherish another Lithuanian rural treasure – local coarse-wooled sheep . This ancient breed, which has accompanied our ancestors for centuries, is today a protected national gene pool, and our farm is part of this conservation history. These sheep are true masters of the meadows, distinguished by their endurance and naturally raised, healthy, rich-tasting meat. We do not limit ourselves to breeding: our goal is to introduce our guests to the unique culinary potential and authentic wool of this breed. It is the fruit of slow, responsible farming, which combines old traditions, love for the animal and exceptional quality for your table."

Our Happy Laying Hens: Fresh Farm Eggs

“Although our laying hens are not heritage breeds, they are an integral part of the life and sustainability of Upės Pievos Ūkis (River Meadow Farm) . We believe that the taste of an egg begins with freedom, which is why our hens spend their days in open pastures, grazing on natural grass and enjoying the fresh air of the river valley. This happy lifestyle is reflected in every egg – their yolks are rich and the taste is what we remember from childhood summers in the countryside. This is our contribution to your breakfast table: freshness, naturalness and fair farming, which you can feel in every bite.”
